When I heard you call.
I was taken from the mundane hours.
Away from the activities of it.
O noble oak, you asked of me to pay attention.
I gave you my listening.
Was held in awe.
You spoke of relationship between earth and man.
You said nothing lives in isolation.
There are no one way streets in gods creation plan.
To see nature as giver, and man receiver, creates imbalance -
a loneliness that hurts the hearts of all the living things.
It was no imagining, no daytime dream,
that heard those words so clearly said.
It was no mental lapse that saw a song come through,
around your shimmering leaves.
It was no delusion, that felt my attention up its tuning
as I listened to the sounding of the words.
You sang of Oneness -
Of the One heart of the all of us,
who sings of Union -
The union of all things.
No One Way Streets
