When waves of disbelief came one after the other.
When worlds were shattering into millions of pieces.
When rising tides of motion and emotion overwhelmed.
Threw me into myself.
Swimming away was not a thing that could be done.
Breath took the waters in and drowning
was the only way to go as surging tides
of disillusionment became an un welcome
and welcomed thief of unhappy ways, days.
Hold onto water?
Stop the changing seasons -
the rains of springs promises.
Caged in, out of a cage – thanks to a sage.
Life’s soft, hard hand dealt cards.
Some taken, some still in the pack.
Hold Onto Water?
